Introducing CannaCRM: The Intelligence Layer Cannabis CRM Has Been Missing

April 29, 2026 · 6 min read

After 15 years of building CRM programs at scale, I have launched a new product. CannaCRM is a CRM intelligence dashboard built specifically for cannabis retail operators. It is now live at cannacrm.io.

This post is the why, the what, and what comes next.

Why I Built It

Most cannabis CRM platforms give you reports. Open rate, redemption rate, monthly revenue. The numbers move up or down. You note them. Then you go back to running the business.

That is reporting. It tells you what happened.

Intelligence is different. Intelligence tells you what to do about it.

I have spent the last five years working inside cannabis CRM and the fifteen years before that working at Caesars, Vail Resorts, and Comcast. I have seen the gap between reporting dashboards and intelligence dashboards play out at scale. Casinos figured this out fifty years ago. Cannabis is still working through it.

When I was running CRM at C3 Industries, scaling from 15 stores in 3 states to 31 across 6, the dashboards we built internally to actually run the program looked nothing like what most operators use today. They were organized around decisions, not metrics. The first thing on the homepage was the at-risk customer list with attached revenue. The second was a segment health view that showed which RFM segments were under or over-performing relative to their baseline. The third was a database health view that quantified leakage in dollars, not percentages.

That kind of dashboard is what I have been building, in different forms, for fifteen years. It is what makes the difference between a CRM program that drives revenue and one that just runs campaigns.

CannaCRM is that dashboard, productized for cannabis operators who do not have a senior CRM strategist on staff and cannot justify hiring one.

What It Is

CannaCRM is a custom intelligence layer built on top of your existing CRM and POS data. It connects to Alpine IQ and Dutchie via API, or to any other platform via CSV upload. We build the dashboard from your actual transaction, loyalty, and customer data. Every segment, every tier, every cohort reflects how your customers actually behave.

The dashboard ships with eight tabs covering revenue baseline, loyalty tier performance, RFM segmentation, retention cohorts, multi-store comparative views, CRM playbook recommendations tied to your actual data, and a database health view that quantifies your reachability gaps.

It is not a SaaS platform. Every dashboard is a custom build. Your data, your tiers, your segments. Not templated.

Who It Is For

CannaCRM is built for independent and regional cannabis operators running 1 to 50+ stores. It is priced for the independent operator running 1 to 5 locations, with custom pricing for multi-location operators. Every engagement includes the build, integration setup, monthly data refreshes, and a CRM playbook tied to what your data is actually showing.

If you are running on platform reports, you are leaving money on the table. The data exists in every operator's stack to do better. What is missing is the intelligence layer.

See It for Yourself

The live demo is at cannacrm.io/demo. It runs on synthetic data for a fictional dispensary called Pinelands Dispensary, but every chart, segment, and callout reflects how an actual production dashboard works.

Take ten minutes and click through it. Then tell me what your dashboard is missing.

What Comes Next

CannaCRM is one of three productized tools I have launched out of Pinelands Marketing this year. VIP Concierge is the clienteling tool. Pinelands Predictive identifies at-risk customers before they lapse. CannaCRM is the intelligence layer that ties everything together.

Each one was built to solve a specific gap I kept seeing inside CRM teams. None of them are full replacements for a senior CRM strategist working with you directly. They are tools designed to extend what a small team can do.

If you want to talk about what CannaCRM could look like for your operation, the demo at cannacrm.io/demo gets you immediate access. Or reach me at brett@pinelandsmarketing.com.
