I Built a Website Service Because Cannabis Has Been Overcharging for Them for Years

Most dispensaries overpay for their websites. I have watched operators write eighteen-thousand-dollar checks for what amounts to a WordPress install with a menu plugin attached.
It looks clean, it plugs into the menu, it does the job. But here is what that money actually buys: a relationship where the agency holds the keys. The operator does not own the thing in any way that matters. They rent it, pay a premium to build it, and pay again every time something needs to change.
That is not one bad vendor. That is how the entire category works. And independents pay the worst of it.
The three things nobody tells you
Cannabis website pricing is broken in three specific ways, and they stack on top of each other.
First, the price. Agencies routinely charge fifteen to twenty thousand dollars for a dispensary site. Not for anything exotic. For a WordPress build with a menu integration. The cannabis tax is real, vendors charge more because they can, and because operators do not have a reference point for what the work actually costs.
Second, the SEO problem nobody mentions on the sales call. Most dispensary sites embed their menu through an iframe or a subdomain. That means your products, the actual things people search for, do not live on your domain in a way Google can index. Someone searches for a product you carry, near them, and your site is nowhere, because your homepage is the only thing Google can see. You paid for a website that cannot be found for the one thing it sells.
Third, and this is the one that should bother you most, you do not own it. The rented-plugin model that dominates this category charges you monthly, forever, and the day you stop paying, the site goes with the vendor. Three years in, you have spent more than thirty thousand dollars and you own nothing. Stop paying and you start over.
You paid a premium, for a site that cannot rank, that you will never own. That is the deal the cannabis industry has been calling normal.
So I built something different
I build custom dispensary websites that operators actually own. The code lives in your repository. Switch hosts, switch agencies, fire me, the site stays yours. No rented plugin, no hostage situation.
The build wraps around the menu platform you already use, Dutchie, Jane, or most of the major ones. For operators who want the SEO, the premium build puts your menu on your own domain, so your products and categories are pages Google can actually index. That is the difference between showing up when someone searches for what you sell and being invisible.
And the whole thing is built on modern architecture, not a plugin bolted onto aging WordPress. Faster pages, which Google rewards. No plugin attack surface. A site that is built this decade.
Pricing starts at $2,950 for the embed build and $8,500 for the premium SEO build. Compare that to the fifteen-to-twenty-thousand the agencies quote, and the math is not close. You can see the full breakdown, including the three-year ownership comparison, on the dispensary websites page.
See it before you commit
I built a live demo so you do not have to take my word for it. It is a full dispensary site you can click through, switch between the embed and premium build tiers, and try the self-service editor, the dashboard your team would use to change promos and banners without calling anyone. Change a headline, watch the site update. That is the experience your team gets. See the live demo here.
I built this service for one reason. Independents have been overpaying for websites they never own, sold by people who never told them about the SEO problem. The plant deserves better than that. So do the operators running these stores.
